Men's 1s Freddie Cottrell and Daniel Hakl during the last AHC club social before COVID
The first half to the season started well, training in August along with pre-season games in September (two wins and one draw). Unfortunately, our first league game was cancelled due to COVID-19 cases and from then on the season became stop-start. Lockdown in November meant the 1s only played four games but remained unbeaten with two wins and two draws.
The squad remained upbeat and, due to a spate of injuries, First Team debuts were given to younger squad players who performed excellently.
Ashford remain in the top six in the league having only played four games; so with the second half to go, along with catching up on missed league games, the squad sit in a healthy position to still push for promotion.
